Regulations M·A·C Cosmetics 'Giveaway SuperStars’


1. Organizer

These rules set out the conditions for the online competition 'Giveaway SuperStars' organized by the company Estée Lauder Companies Benelux (hereinafter referred to as the 'organizer') Estée Lauder B.V. for M·A·C Cosmetics, Safariweg 50 3605 MA Maarssen, the Netherlands. BE 0403.768.933

2. Duration of the competition

The race runs between 21/09/2020 at 00h00 and 23/09/2020 at 23h59.

3. Participants

Any resident of the Netherlands over the age of 18 may take part in the competition, with the exception of employees of M·A·C Cosmetics, as well as their family members. Participants in the competition unconditionally agree to these competition rules. The organiser may at any time exclude anyone from participation in the competitions organised by the organiser. And this for a certain period of time and due to an infringement of the competition conditions, abuse, deception or fraudulent participation in a competition.

4. Number of participations

Participation in the contest is free of charge and does not imply any purchase obligation. Each participant can only win one prize. If someone participates under different cover names, all his or her entries will be considered invalid or non-existent.

5. Winners

A total of 5 winners will be selected. The winners will be notified via a private message on Instagram in the week after the contest. The prizes will be sent to the winners within five weeks after the end of the contest. Any attempted scams will result in the exclusion of the suspect participant. Such a decision is irrevocable. The organizers reserve the right to prosecute suspected fraudsters.

6. Prizes

The competition is running in the Netherlands. As a result, 5 winners will be chosen in total. These 5 winners each win a package with 5 M·A·C Cosmetics products worth €100. Prizes cannot be exchanged for their value in cash, nor for other items, services or benefits of any kind. The winner will be notified personally via a private message on Instagram. Should it turn out that the profile/profile name used is not correct, the participant irrevocably loses his or her right to a prize. The decision regarding the designation of the winners is irrevocable and final.

7. Communication

All information about the competition is described in these rules. These rules can easily be requested in writing from the organizer. Enclose with your request a sufficiently stamped and pre-addressed envelope (with the correct address details of the participant). In addition to these written rules and the emails received by the winners, no correspondence (by letter, e-mail, fax or telephone) about this contest will be conducted.

8. Liability of the organizer.

Anyone taking part in this competition acknowledges and accepts the characteristics and limitations of the Internet, in particular with regard to technical performance, the risk of malfunctions and - more generally - the risks associated with logging on to the Internet and forwarding information. The data concerned are not protected against hackers, nor against possible viruses on the network. The organizer and / or the advisory communication agency can therefore not be held liable for direct or indirect damages of any kind that participants may incur as a result:

  • Problems caused by transmissions over the Internet,
  • The non-functioning of the internet and/or of the software etc. used,
  • Malfunction

Participants must take all measures necessary to protect their personal data and/or the software on their equipment and their sites against all kinds of attacks. Those who log on to the competition page of M·A·C Cosmetics and take part in the competition bear full responsibility.

In case of force majeure or unforeseen events, the organizer reserves the right to modify the competition or its course. In this respect, the organizer may take any decisions it deems necessary. In any case, the organizer and the consulting communications agency disclaim any liability and can in no way be held liable for cancellation, modification, interruption or postponement of the competition in case of force majeure and / or circumstances beyond the control of the organizer and / or the consulting communications agency.

The organizer and/or the consulting communications agency can in no way be held responsible for damage to and / or loss of correspondence by De Post-La Poste or other media, and in particular:

  • The sending of a request for a copy of the competition rules by participants,
  • The sending of the requested competition rules by the organizer to participants.
The organizer gives no guarantee about the prices. The organizer and / or the consultative communication agency can in no way be held liable for accidents, costs, (in)direct damage of any nature whatsoever resulting from participation in this competition or the prize-giving ceremony.

9. Personal data

The participants' personal data (surname, first name, address, etc.) will only be collected for the purpose of identifying the winners and will only be stored after the competition if participants have given their explicit consent via 'opt-in'. (Article 2 defines the duration of the contest, as well as the period for announcing the winners and awarding the prizes). Such data will only be used for Direct Marketing if participants explicitly gave their consent via 'opt-in'. Participants may view and change their data free of charge. To this end, they write to the organizer.

10. Applicable law and legal competence
